Introduction
My name is Rachel Page and I am Junior at Lock Haven University. I am studying to become an Elementary teacher. I grew up an hour away from Lock Haven in a small town called Millville (It’s near Bloomsburg area). I am interested in children, art, and traveling. In my free time I like to hang out with my friends, draw, and work out at the recreation center.
A special talent that I have that is not school based is gymnastics. I took gymnastics near my hometown for seven years. It’s hard to do gymnastics in my free time because there is a decent amount of equipment involved with the sport.
I heard this class is a lot of work. I am excited to take it though because technology is always growing and changing. I am not very “tech savvy,” so I am eager to learn new things so I can become more technology- oriented.
I do use technology in my personal and work life. Email, ecampus, and livetext have been very useful in my work life. I have used Powerpoint and Microsoft Word for many of my courses here at Lock Haven. I do not have any experience with using technology in my profession yet. I do think that technology is important in a classroom, so I plan on applying what we learn in this class. I plan to use technology in the classroom whenever I can to meet my students needs.
